A bunch of kings overtake each other, and continue in their wickedness, except for Asa, who did right in the "sight of the Lord."
The only interesting thing of more doctrinal note that I could find was in v. 12. Understanding that Asa was a righteous, it was obviously more pleasing to the Lord when he simply cast out the sodomites from the land, rather than executing them, like so many assume. These sodomites were also considered male prostitutes (Deuteronomy 23:17). If we think of the Israel as an allegory of the Church and its faithful adherents, doesn't this sound like church doctrine? We can't accept those that are practicing homosexuality.
